University of Virginia students who receive financial aid must reapply each year. Undergraduate students who complete the FAFSA and CSS Profile, as well as meet enrollment and satisfactory academic progress standards, and who apply on time are considered for all forms of financial aid, including Federal and University scholarships, grants, and loans. Non Need-based Financial Aid
If you wish to apply for non-need based financial aid, first file the FAFSA. SFS does not administer merit scholarships. If your parent intends to apply for a Direct Parent PLUS Loan, you need to have a current-year FAFSA on file.
